Abstract
Ana dilin öğretimi, bir ülkenin kültürünün ve değerlerinin gelecek nesillere aktarılması için en önemli adımdır. Ana dil eğitimi, öğrencilerin dil bilgisi, okuma, yazma ve konuşma becerilerini geliştirirken aynı zamanda ülkenin tarihi, kültürü ve sanatı hakkında bilgi verir. Edebî metinler, öğrencilere bir kültürün değerlerini, inançlarını ve dünya görüşünü görme şansı sunar. Bu metinler eğitim ve öğretimde değerlerin aktarılması ve anlaşılmasında büyük bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu araştırma Ömer Seyfettin'in "Yalnız Efe" öyküsündeki değerleri tespit etmek ve analiz etmek için yapılan bir çalışmadır. Bu amaçla eserde değerlerin tespiti ve sınıflandırılmasında, MEB (2017) tarafından “kök değer” olarak belirlenen ve 10 ana başlıkta toplanan “ adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik” değerleri aranmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda Ömer Seyfettin’in ‘’Yalnız Efe’’ öyküsünde Türk milli eğitiminin belirlemiş olduğu değerlerden ‘’ saygı, yardımseverlik, adalet’’ değerlerinin olduğu tespit edilmiş, Türkçe Eğitimi ve değerler eğitiminin verilmesi amacıyla ders kitaplarında kullanılabilecek bir metin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
Teaching the native language e is the most important step in transferring a country's culture and values to future generations. Mother tongue education develops students' grammar, reading, writing and speaking skills while providing information about the country's history, culture and art. Literary texts offer students the chance to see a culture's values, beliefs, and worldview. These texts have a great place in the transfer and understanding of values in education and training. This research is a study to determine and analyze the values in Ömer Seyfettin's story "Yalnız Efe". For this purpose, "justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, helpfulness" values, which were determined as "root values" by the Ministry of National Education (2017) and collected under 10 main headings, were sought in the determination and classification of values in the work. As a result of the research, it has been determined that among the values determined by the Turkish national education in Ömer Seyfettin's story "Yalnız Efe", "respect, benevolence, justice" are the values, and it has been concluded that it is a text that can be used in textbooks for Turkish Education and values education.
