The choices of sentences are selected randomly from the source text and it is found three different equivalents of the sentences. The relationship between the words in the source text and their equivalents in the translation text is examined according to Gideon Toury's target -oriented translation theory. In the part of findings of the research, in the process of examing of the translation norms, it is included the norms like translation process and pre-process norms that should be taken into consideration. Subsequently, the book called the plague is given to the analysis. As a result, the translation strategies used in translated books examined according to Gideon Toury's Target Oriented Approach are categorized as ''adequate'' and ''acceptable'' in terms of the proximity of the source textbook or the target book. In the translated books which are mentioned before, while some sentences are categorized as ''adequate'', the others are categorized as ''acceptable''. As a result of the examination, while five translation sentences in T1 and T3 are accepted ''sufficient '', five other sentence translations are classified as ''acceptable''.
