A Review on the Wrongs of the Syrians Learning Turkish as a Foreign Language in Written Expression

Abstract

In this study, the Syrians who fled from the war in Syria and took refuge in my country tried to find out what they did wrong in written narration. For this purpose, the students' examination papers were examined and the mistakes they made on the examination papers were handled. The screening model of qualitative research methods has been used in determining these mistakes. The data were analyzed by analyzing the content. Examination paper belonging to 96 Syrian students who were learning Turkish in 5 educational institutions in Siirt were selected and analyzed. As a result of the analyzes made, "voice events and harmony" and "voice based" spelling mistakes are in the first place while the last place is "wrong about subject and person harmony." The results obtained in the study are discussed in the literature.
