Öğretmen ve Öğrencilerinin Okuduğu ve Tavsiye Ettiği Kitaplar ve Bu Kitapları Beğenme Nedenleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract
Çocuk edebiyatının en temel işlevlerinden biri, çocuklara okuma sevgisi ve alışkanlığı kazandırmaktır. Çocukların okuma alışkanlığı kazanmasında en önemli faktörlerden birisi de keyif alarak okuyacakları, kendilerine hitap eden nitelikli çocuk edebiyatı ürünleriyle tanışmalarıdır. Okuma alışkanlığı üzerine yapılan çalışmalar hem öğrencilerin okuyacakları kitapları seçerken hem öğretmenlerin öğrencilere kitap tavsiye ederken zorlandıklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışma, öğrencilere kitap seçerken ve öğretmenlere kitap tavsiye ederken yardımcı olacak bir kitap listesi hazırlamak amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bunun yanında çalışmanın diğer amacı öğrencilerin kitabı beğenme ve öğretmenlerin kitap tavsiye etme nedenlerini belirlemektir. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anketlerle öğretmen ve öğrencilerden o güne kadar okudukları ve tavsiye edebilecekleri eserlerden yedi tanesini beğenilme sırasına göre yazmaları istenmiştir. Toplam 50 öğretmen ve 951 öğrencinin katıldığı anketten elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda, öğrencilerin sırasıyla en beğendikleri ve tavsiye ettikleri kitapların Sol Ayağım, Sherlock Holmes, Canavar Peşinde, 4N 1K ve Nutuk olduğu; öğretmenlerin en beğendikleri ve tavsiye ettikleri kitapların sırasıyla: Sol Ayağım, Charli'nin Çikolata Fabrikası, Çalıkuşu, İnsan Ne ile Yaşar, Küçük Prens olduğu görülmektedir. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin en çok tavsiye ettiği on kitap karşılaştırıldığında Charli'nin Çikolata Fabrikası, Çalıkuşu, İnsan Ne ile Yaşar, Küçük Prens, Sadako ve Şeker Portakalı isimli altı kitabın ortak olduğu görülmektedir.

Abstract
One of the basic functions of children’s literature is to bring reading love and habit in children. One of the major factors for children to gain reading habit is to encounter quality children’s literature products that appeal to them and that they can read with pleasure. The studies on reading habit reveal that students have a difficulty choosing the books to read and also teachers have a hard time recommending books to their students. This study was conducted to prepare a book list that might help students with choosing books and teachers with recommending books. In addition, the study also aimed to determine the reasons for students to like a book and teachers to recommend a book. In line with these goals the teachers and students were asked to write down seven of the books they had read so far and could recommend according to the order of being liked, via a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. As a result of the analysis of the data acquired from the questionnaire participated by a total of 50 teachers and 951 students, it was found that the books most liked and recommended by the students were My Left Foot, Sherlock Holmes, Beast Quest, 4N 1K and the Great Speech, respectively; and the books most liked and recommended by the teachers were My Left Foot, Charlie's Chocolate Factory, the Scrub Bird, What Men Live By and the Little Prince, respectively. Comparing the ten books most recommended by the teachers and students; it was seen that there were six books as Charlie's Chocolate Factory, the Scrub Bird, What Men Live By, the Little Prince and My Sweet Orange Tree.
