Easy Steps to Complete JAMB Regularization for 2025/2026

Steps to Complete JAMB Regularization

If you are a Nigerian student who gained admission through a non-JAMB route, such as pre-degree, part-time, or direct entry, or you were admitted without being properly documented by JAMB, chances are you have come across the term JAMB regularization. But what does it mean, and why is it so important?

JAMB regularization is a process introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to make sure that all students in Nigerian higher institutions have a valid JAMB record.

In simple terms, regularization is how JAMB helps you correct or complete your admission record, so you can get your admission letter, register for NYSC, or simply have your data properly updated in their system.

This article contains a step-by-step guide to help you complete JAMB regularization for 2025/2026, and other helpful information on the process. Read on for full details.

Who Needs JAMB Regularization?

You need to regularize your JAMB record if:-

  • You got admitted into an institution without going through JAMB.
  • You transferred to another institution but didn’t update your JAMB record.
  • Your admission is not showing on the JAMB portal.
  • You are about to go for NYSC, and the portal is asking for your JAMB registration number, but you don’t have one.
  • You need to print your JAMB admission letter, but it’s not available.

How Much Is JAMB Regularization?

JAMB regularization is also known as JAMB Late Registration, so don’t get confused if you hear someone call it by that name. To complete your JAMB regularization, you will need to pay a ₦10,000 fee directly to JAMB. This is the official fee and does not include extra charges that may come with the process.

If you are doing the regularization through an accredited CBT center or a cybercafé, you will also need to pay for their service charges. This covers things like filling out the form, uploading documents, printing, etc.

Required Documents for JAMB Regularization

To ensure a smooth regularization process, gather the following documents before you begin:

  • O’Level Result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
  • Recent Passport Photograph
