How much and when to teach words is an important issue. It is necessary to determine which dichotomy, idioms and proverbs should be taught at which language level. In this study, it is aimed to identify the dichotomies, idioms and proverbs in Turkish graded readers for foreigners and to analyze their frequency and distribution by level. For this purpose, the dichotomy, idioms and proverbs in 8 Turkish graded readers for foreigners at A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 levels published by Erdem Publications have been analyzed for this study that employs document analysis as research design. As a result of the content analysis, it has been observed that proverbs are not included in the readers.
