Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the principles of a leader teacher and to inform all teachers about being one of them by using a biography named “Bir Bilim Adamının Romanı Mustafa İnan” Principles of a leader teacher had defined as a result of researchs and a criterian had been made. By getting two domain expert’s opinion the criterian took its final form. Following criterian two researchers made content analysis on this work seperately and obtained founds comparatively. Confrontational codes had included or not to the subject by arguing each one of them. An expert’s opinion had taken to ensure research’s reliability. Researchers and domain experts opinion’s had compared. Miles and Huberman (1992)’s Formula which is basically “reliability=consensus/consensust+dissidence” had used to ensure reliability. And the reliability between the codes found 78 by using this formula. That way desired reliability had ensured. The findings of the investigation are analyzed according to theme which is determined with investigators’ and experts’ opinions, the properties of the leader teacher are illustrated by quoting from matching activities. It seems that the properties of 12 leader teacher which are analyzed according to themes in Oğuz Atay’s novel, “Bir Bilim Adamının Romanı Mustafa İnan”, take place in different frequency, 110 times in all. There are the ratios of the leader teacher’s properties such as properties of the expertise (45-%40,9), properties of the groupwork(40-%36,4) and individual properties (25-%22,7).When the properties of the leader teacher are investigated carefully, it is observed that properties of the initiative and the democratic policy are rarely mentioned. Especially these two properties; exemplariness and the leader teacher, on the other hand, are emphasized, in addition another properties like systematic approach, team leader and teamwork, self-confidence, sense of responsibility, managerial and technical development, staying up to date information, willing to teach, background knowledge, communication skills are included.
