The using of technology has increased in many courses by implementation of Movement of Enhancing Opportunities and Improving Technology (FATIH). Interactive whiteboard is one of the materials used in education with this project. The teachers have taken the opportunity to enrich their courses, make it enjoyable, and reinforce learning by means of this implementation. Many electronic contents have been created for interactive whiteboards. In this context, English language teachers have gained many opportunities and many teachers’ habit of using technology has changed by using interactive whiteboard. The aim of this study is to determine perceptions of secondary school English language teachers of using interactive whiteboard. So, we tried to find out English language teachers’ opinions on the effect of interactive whiteboard on teaching English and the limitations of using interactive whiteboards at classes. We also tried to determine teachers’ opinions on obtaining sufficient contents for interactive whiteboards and on using Education Informatics Networks (EBA) and other similar educational websites at their courses. The effects of interactive whiteboards on pupils’ motivation were also determined. The study group consists of 20 English language teachers who work at state secondary schools in Elazig city center, in 2016-2017 academic year, spring term. Volunteer pupils were included the study. A semi-structured interview form including six questions was used as the data collection tool. Several results were obtained based on seniority and habit of technology use variables. Some useful recommendations are offered based on the results of the study.
