Abstract
Konuşma, bireyin başkalarıyla iletişim hâlinde olmasını, yaşantılarını paylaşmasını dolayısıyla sosyalleşmesini sağlayan beceridir. Çünkü günün büyük çoğunluğu diğer bireylerle konuşularak geçirilir. Dolayısıyla bireyin yaşamını sağlıklı ve düzenli bir şekilde sürdürebilmesinin diğer bireylerle konuşmasına bağlı olduğu söylenebilir. Bireylerden beklenen, çevresiyle sağlıklı ilişkiler kurması ve bunun sonucu, içinde yaşadığı topluma uyum sağlamasıdır. Bunun için de söyleyeceklerini tam, güzel ve etkili bir şekilde anlatması gerekir. Güzel ve etkili konuşmanın temelleri okul öncesi dönemde atılır. Erken çocukluk döneminden başlayarak yazınsal nitelikli kitaplarla buluşan çocuğun güzel ve etkili konuşma becerisini edinebileceği ve yaşamının diğer evrelerinde bu beceriyi geliştirebileceği söylenebilir. Bu doğrultuda yapılan çalışmada güzel ve etkili konuşmanın incelikleri, güzel ve etkili konuşmada yazınsal çocuk kitaplarının yeri, aile ve öğretmenin rolü üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın amacı, güzel ve etkili konuşmada yazınsal çocuk kitaplarının yerini ve önemini ortaya koymaktır.

Abstract
Speaking is a skill that enables individual to keep in touch with others and to share his experiences. Speaking allows indivuals to socialize. Because most of the day is spent on talking with others. Accordingly it can be said that an indivulal's maintaing his/her life healthy and regularly depends on speaking to others. What is expected from individuals is forming good relationships with others thus being attuned to the society. In order to do this, she/he need to express clearly and effectively what she/he wants to say. The foundations of good and effective speaking are laid in preschool. It can be said that a child who first met books of literary value in preschool stage can acquire good and effective speaking skill and develop this skill in further stages of his/her life. In this study which is prepared in this direction, key features of good and effective speaking and the place and importance of children's books, the role of parents and teachers in good and effective speaking are emphasized. The aim of the study is to put forth the place and importance of children's books in good and effective speaking.
