The research is designed to investigate and compare the different trends between 2015 TESOL in Turkey and global trends of TESOL during the 50-year history of TESOL. In the journey of comparing the local trends of TESOL with the global trends, 81 MA theses with the period of 2015 were taken into consideration in this investigation. As a research methodology, a mixed method which consists of qualitative and quantitative methods was applied to determine the findings of the research. In our qualitative analysis, starting with the priori categories, several existing TESOL trends were found along with the emerging trends in TESOL. The percentage of each themes following with both existing and new trends were calculated using the quantitative method. Content analysis is used to categorize 81 MA theses from the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center in Turkey into various categories. It is found that alongside existing categories such as method, learner, subject matter, some emerging trends such as teacher development and assessment and evaluation, native or non-native speaker teacher(s)…etc. were found. Some significant pedagogical implications were discussed and suggestions were provided for future studies."
