Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı Orhan Pamuk’un romanlarının eğitim-öğretim, okullar, öğretmen ve öğrenci bağlamında değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmada Orhan Pamuk’un yayımlanmış on bir romanı, eğitim ve öğretim unsurları bağlamında incelenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi işe koşulmuştur. Doküman incelemesi, araştırılması hedeflenen olgu ve olgular hakkında bilgi içeren yazılı materyallerin analizini kapsar. Doküman analizi yüzeysel, okuma gibi derinlikli okumayı ve yorum yapmayı da kapsamaktadır. Sonuçta yazarın Benim Adım Kırmızı, Beyaz Kale romanları dışındaki tüm romanlarında gerçek hayatla ilişkilendirilebilecek eğitim-öğretim unsurları bulunmuştur. Bu iki romanda ise usta çırak ilişkisinin daha önde olduğu söylenebilir. Pamuk’un romanlarında sıklıkla üniversiteye hazırlık kursları, başarılı olunamayan İngilizce ve matematik dersleri, bu derslerin hayattan kopuk oluşu, ezberci eğitim ve öğretim, öğretmenlerin modern pedagojiden uzak oluşu, insanların temelsiz ve gelenekten gelen sağcı ya da solcu oluşları, Doğu’nun değerlerinin görmezden gelinişi, onları unutmak için yine temelsiz Batılı değerlerin alınışı bu çalışmanın esas problemi bağlamında öne çıkan tespitlerdir.

Abstract
The aim of this research is analyzing novels of Orhan Pamuk within context of educadion-teaching. For this purpose, 11 novels published from Orhan Pamuk's first novel, Cevdet Bey ve Ogullari, to his last novel, Veba Geceleri, were examined in the context of education and training elements.Therefore, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed. Document analysis includes the analysis of written materials containing information about the facts and cases that are aimed to be investigated. Document analysis includes superficial reading, in-depth reading, and interpretation. This iterative process combines elements of content analysis and thematic analysis. While creating the findings section, subtitles related to each novel were opened and the determinations were shown in double quotation marks, in italics and as direct quotations. In addition, the first letters of the novel's name are presented at the very end of the reference. As a result, educational elements that can be associated with real life were found in all of the author's novels, except for the novels Benim Adim Kirmizi and Beyaz Kale. In these two novels, it can be said that the master-apprentice relationship is more prominent. In Pamuk's novels, university preparation courses, unsuccessful English and mathematics lessons, the disconnection of lessons from life, rote-based education and teaching, and the distance of teachers from modern pedagogy are handled more frequently. In addition, leftist and conservative tendencies without philosophical foundations, ignoring the East and adopting Western values are among the frequently discussed topics.
